Seamed Soft Film with Plasticizer
Packstar converts Bonset of America Corporation's state-of-the-art transverse, monoaxially oriented heat-shrinkable packaging and labeling firm. The company's PVC and co-polyester film products provide excellent printability and shrink ability, and are precision-engineered to meet or exceed any and all customer specifications. Soft film with plasticizer is especially suitable for full body labels, tamper-evident bands, and promotional applications.
PVC Film Products
Packstar offers a variety of soft PVC film solutions for your packaging and labeling needs, for general purpose as well as highly specialized applications. All films are transverse, monoaxially oriented, and suitable for multi-color printing. A highly effective anti-static coating can be applied to any of Packstar's films for no additional charge. If a standard PVC product does not meet your specific requirements, Packstar will be happy to collaborate with you on the development of a special film for your applications.
- SRAE PVC Regular Shrink is Packstar's standard, general-purpose film. All other grades are derived from this material. Its normal, standard transverse directional shrinkage (58 +/- 3% @ 100 degrees C 30 seconds by water) makes it ideally suited for printing multicolor, full-body labels on normal shaped containers.
- SRHS PVC High Shrink With UV is a transverse directional high-shrinkage film (61 +/- 1% @ 100 degrees C 30 seconds by water) that is very similar to SRAE, EXCEPT it is not most suited for multicolor, full-body labels or irregularly shaped containers.
- SRUB PVC Regular Shrink With UV is a transverse directional normal-shrinkage film with ultraviolet brightener added to make it evidence of tampering easily detectable under black light. It may also make tampering evident to the unaided eye. SRUB is best used in applications that require minimal printing.
- SRHI PVC High Impact is a transverse directional high impact-resistant film for use in cold temperature environments. The most common application of SRHI is on minimally printed, tamper-evident containers requiring cold transportation and/or storage.
- SRHSU PCV Freezer Grade is a transverse directional high-shrinkage film that, like SRUB, has ultraviolet brightener added to it for tamper detection, and is most suitable for minimal print applications.
- SRHSP PVC High Shrink For Steam Shrink Applications is a variation on the transverse directional high-shrinkage film, engineered to maintain its properties during high heat conditions and/or stream pasteurization. SRHSP is best used for full-body labels.
- SRHL PVC High Shrink With UV Block is special transverse directional high0shrinkage film (61 +/- 1% @ 100 degree C 30 seconds by water) that prevents ultraviolet light from passing through the container it is applied to. Its high shrinkage and UV blocking properties make SRHL an excellent film for multicolor labels on irregularly shaped containers that require extended and protected shelf life. For normal shaped containers, there is also a regular shrink version of this film available.
